The Xbox 360 is Microsoft's second version of the Xbox. Outside companies like IBM, ATI, and Sis, helped in the construction of the Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 is different, and significant, because users can download content like old-fashioned games, demos, movie trailers, TV shows, and full-feature movies. The Xbox 360 came after the Xbox, and, thus, it competes with Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, and other seventh generation consoles. READ MORE Microsoft Xbox 360 Video Game Console System

Nintendo Wii Game Console

The Nintendo Wii is the fifth home video game console marketed and released by Nintendo. It’s pronounced like the pronoun, we. It follows the Nintendo GameCube. Nintendo assessed the market and said that the Nintendo Wii targeted a broader group of people than Microsoft’s Xbox 360 or Sony’s PlayStation line-up. It’s a direct competitor with both consoles in the seventh generation of video game console designs. Its most distinguishing feature is its wireless controller, called the Wii Remote. It has motion-sensing technology that can detect pointer movements in three dimensions. It can also receive messages and maintenance updates over the Internet when it’s in an inactive mode setting, standby mode. It does this through WiiConnect24. Nintendo Wii Fit Game Console

Wii Fit is a video game created for the Wii console that uses the Wii Balance Board peripheral to enable game players to perform a variety of bodily exercises. The balance board reads and measures the player’s weight and center of gravity. From there, it can calculate the body mass index. With several dozen exercises that include yoga, pushups, stretches, and so forth, the user is always getting a good workout. The game tracks a user’s Wii Fitness Age based on the weight, age, and balance of the player. The player is then able to compare their results with the Wii’s own ideal recommendations. It was released in Japan in late 2007 and elsewhere in early to mid-2008. READ MORE Nintendo Wii Fit Video Game Console System

Sony PS2 Game Console

The Playstation 2 is a sixth generation video game console. It was preceded by the Playstation and followed by the Playstation 3. Sales of the Playstation 3 were just palpable compared to the first 2 version releases. PS2 is the highest selling console of all time. It has sold 140 million units as of mid-2008. The Playstation's success was a major factor in attracting market share for the PS2. Ironically, delays in manufacturing made it nearly impossible to find a PS2 during the first year. Retailers' stores were barren, and the only way to get one was to go onto online auction sites like eBay and pay double, triple, or even quadruple the retail price offer. Sony PS3 Game Console

The Playstation 3, or PS3, is the third iteration of the Playstation. It follows the Playstation 2. It directly competes with Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Nintendo's Wii, alongside other seventh generation video game consoles. The distinguishing marks of the Playstation 3, outside of its predecessors, are the cohesive online gaming area, the Playstation Network. Formerly, Sony relied on developers for online play. It has bold multimedia capabilities, connectivity and cooperation with the Playstation Portable and it uses Blu-ray Disc for its main storage medium. The PS3 was the first Blu-ray 2.0 player on the market. It was released in late 2006. It stands in third place in seventh generation consoles in its market. Sony PSP Game Console

The Sony PSP is an abbreviation of PlayStation Portable. It’s a handheld game console. It was unveiled in 2004 slightly before the E3 conference. It was released in 2005 in North America and 2004 in Japan. It has widespread connectivity to other devices and systems like the PlayStation 3, other PlayStation Portables, and Internet. It has a wide-viewing screen and brazen multi-media capabilities. It’s the first handheld console on the market to use an optical disc format, i.e., UMD, or Universal Media Disc. Sales have been consistently lower than the Nintendo DS, its main competitor. Sony took note of the reasons for its sluggish sales, and it re-designed the portable system in a much slimmer, lighter, thinner motif. Sales quadrupled and doubled in the UK and USA, following the revision. READ MORE Sony PSP Video Game Console System
